IN case you are interested in practicing your target-aquisition and shooting speed on moving targets, the following may be for you.
The indoor version (.22 rimfire only) of the Practical Course is held every Monday and Tuesday. Arrive between 4-6pm and you will be able to shoot the six stations before closing at 7pm. Targets are from 5 shots to 9 shots. Most people use .22 pistols, but one fellow uses a 9-shot revolver. Your choice of optics or open sights. You compete against yourself, and the company is excellent and helpful.
Your first shoot night is at no-charge, and $5.00/night thereafter. Unless you go help do all the work of setup and maintenance, then I think your shoot is at no charge. Check with the Rangemaster on your first visit for that information.
The outdoor version (much expanded shooting, with full caliber and .22) is every 4th Saturday from (10am?) to whenever it ends, usually 2-or-3pm.
The Cache Valley Hunter Ed Center is located in the Bear River Bottoms west of Logan on Hwy-30. It is a very fine facility. |
