|
|
This being a subject that is largely a matter of taste, nobody can tell you what is "best" for you to use as a CC holster. Everyone is different, the options for men and women are different, and the holster/carry selections available and the differences in them are endless.
That said, the matter of practicing with your CC equipment comes up, and the logical choices are a bit slimmer here.
For instance:
If you carry with a SOB (Small Of Back) or some other style, then it is only logical for you to practice with that style. The reason I mention this is because a lot of folks (just look around at shooting ranges) are practicing with duty-style rigs worn outside their clothing. Like an on-duty police officer or security guard might wear. Obviously, that isn't how they are going to be carrying at WalMart, the Mall, downtown, or wherever.
If you practice from a duty-style rig worn outside your clothing, and then all of a sudden your family is faced with an armed attacker and you have to dig your weapon out from under three layers of clothing at an angle you never practiced with, it may become an unfamiliar movement that eats up your time or just doesn' work like you expected it to.
Just something for all of us to think about.
And don't miss reading Chuck Shoun's B-Log here at BEWF Forum! |
