The Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program ("HIP) registration is mandatory for anyone wanting to hunt Dove, band-tailed pigeon, duck, goose, swan, coot and snipe.
Registration is FREE, and is REQUIRED each year.
Hunters NOT registered face a $299 fine.
Register (FREE) at phone number tollfree 1-877-882-4744 or online at http://www.uthip.com.
Regulations change from year to year, make sure you have the latest proclamation and understand it. Like my grandson (13 yrs old) said when I gave him a stack of Utah game proclamations to read at bedtime; "Wow, pops, I should have my lawyer read these. Wait a minute... I don't have a lawyer..." Laughing I about fell off my chair, but it was about the truth. Confused
