After spending $300,000.00 on lawyers last year to ban all CC holders from "higher education" campuses, the UofU has moved into the legislative arena to gain it's agenda. This week a bill moved out of Senate Committee that would allow "higher education" to declare offices and dorm facilities off-limits to CC holders. The bill will now be presented to the legislature. The lack of a "nay" vote by Sen. John Valentine allowed the bill to pass from committee. A convenient way to vote "yes" on a bad bill is to absent yourself from a close vote.
Seems the events this week in SLC would make even the most idiotic anti-CC radical stop and consider the value of good citizens "packing". But then, those types usually are reluctant to be swayed by facts. Keep tuned for how this plays out.
The "Seat Belt Primary Law" failed this week.

Today's murderous event at Virginia Polytech is another thread. |
